In Mid Atlantic & South U.S. Store Visits During October 2021
Our CEO, Lisa Mabe, will be on the road again conducting field research this Autumn during October 2021 to collect ‘retail intel’ in the following markets:
Mid-Atlantic: Washington, D.C., Maryland (Baltimore, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Annapolis, etc.) Virginia (Alexandria, McLean, Arlington, Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, etc.)
South: North Carolina (Raleigh metro, Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheville, etc.) South Carolina (Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, etc.) Georgia (Atlanta, etc.)
Green Purse is located in Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C.; and Lisa is based in North Carolina for extended periods throughout the year. The map below shows the Mid Atlantic and South regions, both areas that we can easily and safely drive to, even during pandemic times.
Why Field Research
The most successful brands are keeping a constant pulse on their programs at the store level by visiting stores and in some cases, getting face time with some of the most powerful influencers, store leaders and staff. Our Retail Field Research Program is designed to help you stay informed with what’s happening in your category at retail and club stores where your products are sold. As we visually document with photos and videos how your products are merchandised in stores, we can also gather valuable market insights and feedback from store staff on your program, competitive intelligence, and create market updates for your leadership or network of producers.
We work with brands to perform some or all of the following during our in-store research:
Shoot photo content of your products and entire product category at each store, including some that can be repurposed for consumer marketing assets, such as imagery appropriate for social media marketing.
Identify and visually document competitive products, how they are merchandised and any best practices applicable to your brand.
Shoot brief market update videos from each store for your sales, leadership team or even producers/farmers so they can see what's happening on the ground.
If feedback on your program is needed, we can meet in-person with category team leaders & staff to obtain feedback on your program, including direct quotes from store staff.
If keeping your program top-of-mind for store staff is required, we can include an education component to communicate your brand’s key messages & product attributes to influence store staff and drive more purchases.
Report learnings with one extensive report, documenting a store-by-store account, including all visual content files.
