Take a behind-the-scenes look at Green Purse PR’s experience at the Natural Products Expo West 2023 trade show. As always, Expo West was a great time to connect in person with clients, colleagues and friends from around the world.
I got to moderate a panel on the topic, ‘Connecting with the Mission-Minded Shopper’ with these amazing leaders in the natural products industry.
The term, ‘mission’ means different things to different brands. It could be defined as a mission to help regenerate the planet’s grasslands, saving the oceans (and sea life) from choking in plastic or elevating others from our communities to thrive who may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so.
Here are some of my main takeaways from that session.
Research what specific aspects of your mission resonate most with your various consumer segments.
Use social media to tell your mission-based stories about how you’re progressing in your mission – remember to take them on a “learning journey.”
Bring to life how other shoppers feel better about their purchase by supporting your brand (via influencers.)
Invite journalists, reporters & influencers to come see your mission in action.
Invite retailers and partners to showcase your mission at times of year when it’s most relevant (i.e. Earth Month.)
