When in Roma
I recently had the opportunity to travel to Roma, a small town in Australia's Outback in the state of Queensland. I went there with my client OBE Organic, who was hosting a #GrazingBMP Forum for organic beef producers. I spoke to beef producers about the importance of social communications, why it's important for companies like OBE, and how it impacts them. Here's a visual look at my trip to Roma; I look forward to getting out that way again.
When in Roma...
Cowgirl boots are a must!
Travel by plane as driving is likely to take way too long. By the looks of it, just about everyone here has their own private plane. Maybe not, but the Roma Airport sure had lots of small planes.
Set up at Roma's finest meetings space, The Explorers Convention & Function Centre.
Share some knowledge. That's me, Lisa, presenting to a room full of beef producers from the Australian Outback.
Stay at the very best accomodations, the Overlander Homestead.
Eat some True Aussie Beef -- Certified Organic & 100% grass-fed and grass-finished by OBE Organic.
Chat to local media. That's News Editor, Derek Barry, from the local paper, The Surat Basin.
Live tweet for @OBEOrganic.
Meet some of the locals. This is Maranoa Regional Council Mayor, Robert Loughnan.
Fuel up with another coffee, a flat white of course. So thankful my smart client, Dalene Wray, GM of OBE Organic, thought ahead and provided a mobile coffee truck. Roma's Cafe 54 coffee is first-class!
Get some on camera time with the guys at Digital Farm TV.
Eat some more beef!
Take some fun photos with OBE Organic's GM, Dalene Wray. I'm always looking for a social media-friendly photo to post on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram!
